My DH, DD and I will be taking our first ever family vacation after my husband has returned from 2 tours of duty. I would really love to plan something extra special for him. Any suggestions and recommendations? He really deserves something great!

You can say that again, Desiree!  And--as a former military wife myself--I can positively say that you deserve something special, too (for holding down the fort while he was away)!  The good news is that a trip to Disney will definitely be the magical escape both of you deserve.  To "plus" up your trip a little, you might consider a specialty cruise.  There are many options for departure locations.  You can select either a fireworks cruise or a dining cruise.  Either way, your military man will be treated to a truly luxurious time.  You'll also want to be sure to make time to visit The American Adventure attraction at Epcot for a patriotic experience that you and your husband will likely really appreciate!  Enjoy your special trip!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
