My DD, 9, and I are sailing on the Wonder August 30. She has special needs. Oceaneers Club seems to have different themed activities. Is there a way to get descriptions before we board to decide which best match her abilities and the best times to go?

    Hi, Angie!

You and your sweet daughter are going to have the time of your lives as you sail the Disney Wonder to Alaska later this summer!  Disney's Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab welcome children with various abilities and disabilities -- they just like to know ahead of time how to care specifically for a child.  Therefore, if you haven't already, make sure you note your daughter's needs on your reservation, or for more detail, you can download a Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Special Service Form in order to make sure any requests are noted. You can also visit the Guests with Disabilities Page in order to see the various services offered, and you can call the separate DCL reservations line at (407) 566-3500 for questions about accommodating your daughter's needs on board. Plus, they may be able to provide you with better descriptions of the various activities on board so that you know best how to plan her days.

As far as your Alaskan voyage, you may be interested in these 7 DCL videos about my family's Disney Alaskan Cruise earlier this summer.  It has some of my best tips for getting ready for this amazing journey as well as how to take advantage of the time on board as well as in ports. Let me know if you have more questions as your vacation draws near.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
