My 7 yo dd & I are headed on our first Disney cruise aboard the Magic. Is the big slide free & do we have to buy a soda card or is it included? Is there anywhere on the ship where she can cartwheel and do kickovers without hurting someone? She's a

    Hi Jen,

How awesome that you are going on the beautiful Disney Magic!  That ship is my home away from home!  My family and I have sailed on it four times, and just never get tired of it!

There are no soda cards for sale onboard.  You can, however, get free soda and coffee at the beverage station located on the pool deck 24 hours a day.  I'm thinking that by "big slide" you mean the AquaDuck?  I'm sorry to tell you that the AquaDuck is only on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.  The Magic does have a really cool slide at the kids pool though!

I know what a cartwheel is, but I don't know what a kickover is....sounds like it involves a lot of leg and feet at high velocity!  There are big spaces onboard, but you'll have to scout it out.  I can think of a few big areas, but they are usually always guests around (and children scooting through), so I'm pretty sure it won't be safe.

I hope you have a wonderful time on your cruise Jen.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
