What are DS 6 and DS 3 or what is DD5.....I guessing they are children, but I don't understand the different letters in front of the numbers.

    Hi David,

In an effort to get a lot of information into a limited number of characters, people have a tendency to abbreviate.  The only problem lies in the fact that sometimes it can be difficult to decipher the numbers and letters -- certainly texting has and internet forums have created a whole new language.

DS usually refers to "Dear Son", and the number following is the age of the child.  Likewise, DD translates to "Dear Daughter."

Hope this helps.  TTFN (That's Tigger-ese for "Ta ta for now")

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
