    DD14 & DS16. How is the food at the Askerhaus for breakfast? Need to convince my son that it is worth it since he does not want to dine w/ the princesses and my daughter does. Thank you.

    Hey Sondra!

    The Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is a favorite in my family because the guys in my family ASK to go there! They really like the food, while my daughter and I get to play with the Princesses. The Princesses are very courteous and only interact with the people who are eager for their attention...my boys hardly notice the girls in ball gowns around them!

    Breakfast at Akershus gets served "family style" with the hot selections like bacon, sausage, eggs, and potato casserole brought to your table on a platter and you place what you like on your plate. There is also a "cold buffet" that you make trips to that is filled with items like yogurt, fruits, cheese, and pastries. Because you are in the Norway pavilion you will see Norwegian specialties like smoked fish on the buffet as well.

    That cheesy potato casserole has quite a following of people that really love it so I recommend that you give it a try!
