DD3 is very fast and can be very focused/determined when something catches her attention. Any tips to prepare her in case she gets seperated from us? Also, do all CMs wear same uniforms at parks or is each park uniform different? What about resorts?

    Hi Cynthia,

Welcome to the Moms Panel, I think you would find that most of us probably have shared your concern!

The common denominator between all of the Walt Disney World Cast Members is their name tag.  The costumes vary widely, but they will always be wearing their name tag.  Upon arrival to your resort is a great time to point this out to your daughter, but you will also need to reinforce it throughout your vacation, as cast members are everywhere and kids need assurance that there will always be someone they can count on to help them.

One important thing to note is that from a toddlers perspective it could be difficult to make the determination as to who actually is a cast member.  For this reason I have always told my children that if they can't find me (and I always use the example that I got lost, for some reason this is less scary or intimidating than the idea that they would be lost) that they could ask another Mom for help.  Not that Dad's wouldn't be willing to help...but Moms tend to be more approachable to a child.  As parents we can't let our guard down, even at the happiest place so I think you're smart to prepare your child on what to do and who to seek out if they need assistance.

I know some of our Moms have custom clothing labels, wrist bands, or identification tags for belt loops or sneakers with their cell phone number on them.  This would help a cast member track down the parent quickly in the event they became separated from their child.

Have a wonderful vacation, seeing Walt Disney World through the eyes of a three year old is simply magical!
