    Hi Leanne,

Your itinerary looks great!  I wish I was going on vacation with you!

If I understand your question, you're trying to decide between Chef Mickey's and Garden Grill on the day of your arrival.  Garden Grill is a fun restaurant, but realistically, dining is pretty much all you'll have time to do in Epcot that evening - and maybe catch Illuminations.  Is that worth the cost of admission?  I would probably say no.

Chef Mickey's is a great choice!  Dining with characters is always a fun way to start off a vacation.  Although, you are already dining there on a different day.

Have you considered getting reservations for 'Ohana or Whispering Canyon Cafe?  These are both uniquely themed restaurants that are a lot of fun for families.  If you dine late enough, you may even be able to see the fireworks over Magic Kingdom and watch the Electrical Water Pageant as it floats down Seven Seas Lagoon.

If you can't get reservations to either of these restaurants, I'd stick with Chef Mickey's.  You'll have a great start to your vacation!

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
