My DD is almost 35" tall and with shoes she can pass as 35". She would love the baby roller coaster as she likes extremes. Do they measure height without shoes? How strict are they if she is only off by a quarter of an inch?

    Hi Pedro,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am happy to see this question because I have a thrill-seeking five year old too.  Ever since she was old enough to speak, she has been asking when can she ride the big girl attractions!  Height requirements are in place for safety reasons, and I have found the Cast Members very good at checking younger guests.  Although I understand why Disney has height requirements, it is very difficult explaining to your child they are not yet tall enough to experience an attraction they have been looking forward to.  I like to measure her before we leave for our vacation, and we look at the descriptions for all of the attractions she is able to experience, to avoid disappointment!

From my experience, the Cast Members are very strict over the height requirements for attractions, and my daughter has even been measured several times leading up to the same attraction.  The Cast Members have usually let her keep her shoes on, however on one occasion, she was wearing a pair of flip flops with a wedge, and the Cast Member asked her to remove her shoes.  They have also flattened her hair after visiting the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique as well.  Both times she cleared the height requirement!

I hope you have a magical time on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Pedro.  Sending you some extra Pixie Dust in hopes that your daughter has a growth spurt prior to your arrival!
