The DCL website says the Magic doesn’t have a 220 plug in the stateroom. I believe it did last year. Does anyone know for sure?

    Hi Janice!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Are you planning to set sail on a MAGICal adventure aboard Disney Cruise Line? The Disney Magic is near and dear to my heart because that was the very first Disney Cruise ship I set sail on. Even before the thrilling AquaDunk, there was so much fun to be had aboard the Disney Magic!

I just spoke with my friends at Disney Cruise Line regarding your question. Most of the stateroom outlets aboard the Disney Magic are 110V/60Hz (U.S.). All standard U.S. electrical appliances will function onboard! You will find 110V outlets near the bedside as well. The vanity outlets are all 110V with the exception of the round hair dryer outlet. That outlet is 220V!

I bring my flat iron onboard each cruise and it works wonderfully plugged into the outlets. Other appliances, such as curling irons, with standard North American Plugs, will work great, too! Disney Cruise Line gives a list of Prohibited Items for Guests to refer to prior to beginning the packing process. This list is a helpful resource for Guests prior to setting sail!

Janice, thanks again for stopping by. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again!
