We will be going on the DCL 7 night Alaskan Cruise departing on May 27, 2024. Will our cruise have the Frozen themed night? Which night will it be on?

    Welcome, Christine!

Thanks for reaching out to planDisney for details on your special Disney Cruise Line vacation in 2024. My family enjoyed this incredible 7-night Alaska itinerary last summer, and I’m thrilled to share what you can expect onboard. It was truly one of our best vacations EVER and we’re still talking about the wonderous wildlife encounters, magnificent views of nature, and the special adventures we had together in each port.

I’m happy to share that for the May 27, 2024 sailing onboard the beautiful Disney Wonder, you can plan for the Freezing the Night Away deck party on Friday when you are in the port of Juneau, Alaska. This fun deck party and stage show features our favorite Frozen friends with new songs, laughs, and beautiful sights for the whole family. Please know that entertainment is subject to change, so be sure to check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you’re in “onboard mode” for all the details. Since this sailing is several months away, please also keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any new offerings as the next Alaska sailing season gets underway in the late spring.

For the rest of your week, please know that Formal Night is planned for Tuesday (at sea) and Semi-Formal Night is slated for Saturday (Ketchikan). I found most Guests to be less formal on the Alaska sailing than I’ve experienced in our Caribbean sailings, but of course you may dress to your family’s comfort and style. The rest of the itinerary is cruise casual; I loved that for Alaska we could easily go to dinner in our clothes from the day’s adventures since we weren’t coming in wet from the beach as with more tropical destinations.

Alaska is such a bucket list destination for many, and it was truly the experience of a lifetime for my family. I’ve always lived on the east coast of the United States and while we have mountains, cities, and beaches, I’ve never seen such splendor as I did with the stunning fjords on our Glacier Day. I was most concerned with what to pack, but our sailing was just a few weeks after yours in early June and I found light layered clothing, a warm rain jacket, and base layers were sufficient for the varied weather. I also planned to do laundry mid-cruise, which helped leave room in our bags for unique souvenirs from the Last Frontier.

I hope this helps you get excited about your special adventure in 2024, Christine! Please let us know what other questions you have as you begin to finalize the details.

Wishing you an epic adventure on this magical cruise,
    Amy
