    We're going on our 1st DCL in May! What's dress code for dinner? I know we should dress up, but when I see pics,it seems casual. Can my husband/son wear nice shorts to dinner and a polo type shirt? Are the dining areas cool? Should we pack a sweater?

    Hi Christiane,

    You are going to love sailing with Disney Cruise Line!  I've sailed on several cruise lines, and once I sailed with Disney, I've never even priced a cruise with another line.  Cross my heart!

    The dress code for pretty much the entire cruise is "cruise casual".  Nice shorts and Polo type shirts are perfect for every night other than formal night or if you dine at Palo or Remy.  The adults only restaurants do have stricter dress codes, but since those restaurants are so special, you won't mind dressing up for them.  Here is Disney Cruise Line's dress code.  I hope this helps!

    The ship does get cooler in the evening.  I always have a sweater or wrap with me when I'm out and about in the evenings.
