Hi, Anna!
A Disney Cruise Line vacation is amazing any time of year, but sailing over Christmas is extra magical! The ship is beautifully decorated with garland and a sparkling Christmas tree. I don’t blame you for wanting to spread a little holiday cheer in your stateroom.
Small battery-operated Christmas lights and decorations, including tea lights, may be brought onboard the ships. I know some Guests like to put them in the bathroom as a nightlight. I steered my sleigh over to a Cast Member, and she shared that suction cup hooks would likely fall off the walls and doors. Strong magnets with hooks work best when
hanging items up in your stateroom or on your door.
Anna, on my last
Very Merrytime Cruise, I ordered a special holiday décor package from
Onboard Gifts. Your stateroom host, acting like one of Santa’s helpers, will decorate your stateroom with your selected gift. Last year there were Christmas-themed treats, a mini-Christmas tree, and a cozy blanket and pillow from which to choose. Keep in mind that this year’s onboard holiday gifts haven’t been announced yet and could change from previous years. I recommend checking the site in the fall to see what’s available.
I can't wait for you to experience all the holiday fun! From cookies on Christmas Eve to caroling with the crew, special activities are planned each day of your sailing. Even
Castaway Cay features a larger-than-life tree and a fun snowman dressed in island attire. The
Disney Parks Blog recently shared some new delights for Disney Cruise Line. I can't wait to see the holiday deck party!
I hope you have a fa-la-la good time with Captain Mickey and the gang. Please send any additional questions our way as the merriest time approaches. We are happy to provide a stocking full of tips so your adventure at sea is merry and bright!
SEAS the adventure!
