My DCL booking window opens Wednesday 8/27. Trying to decide between the WBPC 4/25/27-5/9/27 and a B2B2B cruise with the last leg being Eastern Caribbean 4/23/27-4/28/27. Can I book both these cruises and decide later with the overlapping dates?

    Ahoy, Cynthia!

Welcome aboard planDisney! Isn’t it exciting when Disney Cruise Line drops those new itineraries? It’s a bit like Genie popping out of the lamp—suddenly, you’ve got a whole new world of options before you, and narrowing it down to just one wish is the real challenge. Especially when the itineraries you’re dreaming about overlap on the same dates!

This was such an interesting question that I wanted to test it out myself. I tried booking a second cruise on dates I was already holding, but the system gave me a friendly “no-go” notice letting me know that Guests cannot have two reservations on overlapping sail dates. To be sure, I phoned Disney Cruise Line directly (sometimes their helpful Cast Members can pull a few strings like the Fairy Godmother herself), and they confirmed that it’s not possible to book two different cruises with the same Guests on the same sail dates.

Now, let’s talk about your choices because both are incredible. A Panama Canal sailing is a true bucket-list adventure—it’s the kind of epic journey that would make Moana proud as you “sail beyond the reef.” That itinerary has been on my own must-do list for years, but with my kids’ school schedules, the timing just hasn’t lined up yet. Someday, though, we’ll make it happen! On the other hand, back-to-back sailings are pure magic in their own right. My family loves them because you get to enjoy the ship without feeling rushed—double the memories, double the magic, and double the desserts (something Stitch would absolutely sneak seconds of if given the chance).

I know this wasn’t quite the answer you were hoping for, but I do hope it helps you chart your course with confidence. No matter which option you chose, you truly can’t go wrong—you’ll be sailing with Captain Mickey, after all, and that’s always an adventure worth celebrating.

Sea ya real soon as we ride the wave of summer’s final stretch in Disney style,
