Ahoy, Lisa!
Thanks for asking this important question about your upcoming cruise. Your sail date is just around the riverbend, you must be so excited! There’s nothing like the magic of a
Disney Cruise Line vacation, I know your family is going to have an amazing time. A private yacht adventure in the
Bahamas sounds like pure perfection!
I’m happy to tell you that yes, a puddle jumper brand personal flotation device for your child is allowed onboard. The
list of Prohibited Items confirms that items such as rafts, pool noodles, or floats are not allowed. I confirmed with a Crew Member that since the puddle jumper is a U.S. Coast Guard personal flotation device (PFD) it will be welcome onboard. I understand wanting the comfort and safety of a familiar item when traveling, especially with little ones in the water. Disney Cruise Line does provide flotation vests of varying sizes for children onboard for use in the pools and also at their private island,
Disney Castaway Cay.
I have a fun tip for you to make your little one smile at Castaway Cay, Lisa. Family lunch is served at Cookies BBQ and Cookies BBQ Too. Help yourself to TWO chocolate chip cookies from the buffet. Behind the central drink station, you’ll find a soft serve ice cream machine. Choose your favorite flavor (mine is banana) and swirl onto one cookie, then make an ice cream sandwich by placing the second cookie on top. A perfect treat on a warm beach day, and your little one will think you’re quite the creative chef! They typically close and clean the ice cream machines around 2:00pm so be sure to enjoy before then.
Wishing you a fantastic tropical getaway!
