With DCA closing early for grad night, what happens in the case that the dessert party was already purchased for world of color viewing? Will we still be able to watch the show or will we be getting a refund?

    Hi ya, Sarah!

Thanks for visiting planDisney! May is one of my favorite times of year to visit, I hope you are enjoying the final countdown to your Disney day!

You are correct that Disney California Adventure Park is currently scheduled to close at 9:00 PM on May 31, 2024, for Grad Nite. But don't worry! World of Color - ONE is also on the schedule and will be a wonderful grand finale to your day. After the performance, guests who are not part of the after-hours event will simply exit the park. So really, you'll get a little bit of extra time in your park day!

The World of Color Dessert Party is the absolute best way to enjoy World of Color! It's so nice to be able to sit and enjoy the lights and sounds of the park while you snack on sweet and savory treats. Did I mention that you get to sit? It's awesome! When you check in near the Eureka wheel by the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail you may be asked if you prefer a low or a high table...my advice is to go for the high top. Such a great view! We always have leftover snacks to take back and enjoy later, too. Hooray for "to-go" boxes! Evenings can get chilly, especially if there's a breeze, so I'd recommend bringing a light jacket.

The rest of the park will be closed to guests not attending Grad Nite when World of Color is over, but you're always welcome to explore the Downtown Disney District! I'm really excited to try Céntrico on our next visit, the outdoor patio looks gorgeous. I see taquitos on the menu that are calling my name!

Enjoy World of Color - ONE on your next visit, Sarah! I love the show's message that one person can make a wave of change and magic in the world.

    Keep moving forward!
