Hi Christina,
There's so much to see and do at the many Disney Resorts hotels, my family always has a tough time deciding how to split time between theme parks and resorts! I'm happy to see that you're looking into ways to explore resorts on your upcoming trip so let's take a look.
Disney's Wilderness Lodge's lobby is stunning and showcases rustic America's Great Northwest. The details in the Main building are incredible - from the bubbling creek that runs through part of the lobby to the roaring fireplace, it's easy to see how much thought was put into each element. The Wonders of the Lodge Art & Architecture Tour showcases the resort's theming daily at 9:00 AM. Plan for an hour of walking throughout the Resort so be sure to wear comfy shoes! The tour begins in the lobby.
I checked with a Cast Member, and unfortunately, they did not find any information showing the Legends of Conch Flats tour at
Disney's Old Key West is currently available. If you’re curious, it’s worth asking at the front desk - sometimes special experiences return seasonally or on select days.
Several resorts also offer self-guided experiences. At
Disney’s Riviera Resort, Guests can enjoy a nature-inspired walk around Barefoot Bay with the Nature Exploration Activity Guide, available at The Eventi Room. Other resorts feature wellness walks or scavenger hunts that are perfect for families who like to explore at their own pace. My daughters especially love the Character scavenger hunts - each resort highlights a different Character to search for, and once you’ve found them, you can stop by the lobby for a fun little prize.
Whether you choose a guided tour or a self-paced discovery, these resort activities are a wonderful way to add a little magic to your stay.
I hope this information is helpful to your planning, Christina. Wishing you a joyful holiday season vacation at
Walt Disney World Resort; keep an eye out for snow on Main Street, U.S.A.!
Warm hugs,
Candace
