Greetings, Erin, and welcome to planDisney! Oogie Boogie Bash is such a great way to get in the Halloween spirit. I love that you're planning ahead, but it's a little early to know details for the 2026 event. I'm happy to share some information that may help while we await official announcements, though.
This year,
Oogie Boogie Bash tickets went on sale in late June, with the dates announced a few weeks beforehand. Since this is such a popular event, tickets for some dates sold out quickly.
Oogie Boogie Bash was held on select nights from August 17 through October 31, 2025. For the past few years, it has been scheduled on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights, though not always three times in a given week. It seems to happen consistently on Halloween night, though, regardless of the day of the week it falls on. There's a good chance it will continue in the same pattern in 2026, but there's always a possibility that the schedule could change. It would be a real scare if you booked everything only to find the day you were counting on wasn't going to work out.
Keep in mind that this is a separately ticketed event, and it will likely sell out. You'll want to try to get tickets as soon as they go on sale for the best chance of getting a date you want. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland Instagram account, especially as we enter May and June. After purchasing your event tickets, you'll still have a decent amount of time to secure your hotel accommodations and flight.
I went to
Oogie Boogie Bash this year, and it was spellbinding. There were so many treat trails and rare Character appearances. The enchantments to the
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail left me in awe, and the parade was a lot of fun. I can't wait to see what is conjured up for 2026.
Erin, I know you have your sights on the Halloween season, but you might also be interested in the 2026 lineup for
Disneyland After Dark events. The
Disney Parks Blog recently announced a series of after-hours events that look incredibly fun. Similar to Oogie Boogie Bash, these are separately ticketed events that happen at night. Each event has its own theme and a few dates to choose from. Guests typically enjoy a high-energy atmosphere with photo opportunities, special entertainment, Character appearances, specialty food and drink options, and more. If you haven't been to one yet, I'd highly recommend trying it! Tickets for the first few events will go on sale soon.
There is a lot more fun at the Disneyland Resort coming in 2026, including
Lunar New Year festivities, the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, and continued
70th Anniversary celebrations. With everything going on, it'll be Halloween Time before we know it!
Erin, I hope this information has sprinkled a little pixie dust on your 2026 plans. If you think of any other questions, please reach out again – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
