Deedra:
In general, several things create a crowd at a park: the time of the week, special events, or simply the park's size and ability to control a large crowd.
- You'll find that the larger crowds tend to come from Friday to Monday since it's the weekend. All the parks are generally busier on these days.
- Crowd levels also tend to build in the afternoons at the parks where Magic Hours are held. This happens when you have the folks who would have normally gone to
the park added to those who choose it for its Magic Hours. In general, Magic Hours are at:
Magic Kingdom: Sundays at night; Thursday mornings
Disney Studios: Mondays at night; Saturday mornings
Animal Kingdom: Wednesdays at night; Sunday mornings
Epcot: Fridays at night; Tuesday mornings
- Other special events that may spike a crowd would be Fantasmic! at Disney Studios or the Spectromagic Parade at Magic Kingdom, which is not shown every night of the year.
- A park's size also can play with how busy it is on a certain day. Epcot and Animal Kingdom are larger, so in general on any given day, they would probably appear to be less busy than the smaller parks, Magic Kingdom and Disney Studios.
Keeping in mind all of these factors, the busiest day at any park is Sunday, followed by Saturday, Monday, and Friday. Generally, Tuesday is one of the lowest days for any park followed by Thursday and Wednesday.
I'll end with which days are probably the best to visit a specific park:
Magic Kingdom: Tuesday or Thursday
Disney Studios: Wednesday or Friday
Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday or Thursday
Epcot: Wednesday or Thursday
Great question!
