    5.5 days at WDW w/grandparents, 4 & 5y/o. Would you combine AK and Epcot in 1 day & take a day off in the middle or are 2 resorts in 1 day too much? Better to do parks in morning & take 2 afternoons off? How much is there for young kids to do?

    Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

    If I were you, I would visit Epcot and Disney's Animal Kingdom each on a separate morning, and take two afternoons off from the theme parks. In fact, this describes how my family vacations most of the time! We like to get up early and get to the theme parks at the time they open. It is amazing how much lower the crowds are first thing in the morning. By going to each theme park in a morning, you will get to take advantage of these lower crowds twice. We typically stay at the theme park until around lunchtime or early afternoon, and then head back to our resort to take a rest and swim at the pool. I think that visiting two parks in one day would be more tiring than visiting them over the course of two days in the mornings.

    There is a lot for young children to do at both Epcot and at Disney's Animal Kingdom! In Future World at Epcot, your children will likely enjoy Journey Into Imagination with Figment, where they can take a ride through a fun tour of the senses and imagination. They will also likely enjoy The Seas with Nemo and Friends, where they will ride trough Nemo's story, ending with seeing into a real aquarium! When you head back to the World Showcase section, your children may enjoy stopping at the Kidcot Fun Stops, where they can color a Duffy Bear or Perry the Platypus. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, be sure to check out Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you can take a ride on a safari vehicle and see amazing animals. When she was younger, my daughter also really enjoyed a ride on the Wildlife Express Train out to Rafiki's Planet Watch, where we would visit Affection Section so that she could pet the animals there.
