We are 60 days out from WDW, went out to try to book dining reservations and there are none! No restaurant in park has any times available. We have a large party but we couldn't find for even small parties. Any suggestions on how to get a reservation?

Hello there, Robert. Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you've stopped by to talk about one of my favorite things - Disney dining!

I'm vacationing around the same in December as you, Robert, and I also had a hard time securing advanced dining reservations. I vacation at Walt Disney World over Christmastime every year and this is the first time I've had trouble like this. I am wondering if it had more to do with a website glitch than anything else. Hopefully, by now you've had some luck securing your dining reservations at this point. I was only able to grab a few but that's okay.

I have some ideas that might help you secure dining reservations for your upcoming trip. One thought is to visit the restaurant's specific webpage and try to make a reservation from there. Once you are on that webpage, you should see a blue button on the right-hand side that says, "Check Availability". You'll want to click that and then input your party size and the time and date you'd like to eat. If there is availability, you'll be able to see it and book your reservation from there. I've had good luck booking dining reservations going directly to the webpage instead of using the general reservation search and hopefully, you will too. If that doesn't work for you, honestly, it probably would be best to call and speak to a Cast Member directly. You can call 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time. A Cast Member will be able to look at the entire database of reservation availability and help you from there.

I hope you are able to enjoy some great dining spots while on vacation at Walt Disney World in December, Robert. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have fun and enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
