Katie,
You sound like a person after my own heart and tastes. We love Epcot and usually spend at least part of every day of our Disney visit there.
We have eaten at all the Epcot restaurants except Coral Reef and the new Monsieur Paul. Rose & Crown, Via Napoli and Tokyo Dining are our favorites. Both Rose & Crown and Tokyo Dining offer great views of Illuminations if you are having a late dinner.
We rate the prosciutto and melon pizza at Via Napoli as one of the best dishes in all of Walt Disney World. (Don't let the canteloupe scare you. None of us really likes it on its own but it is wonderful on this pizza, which was recommended to us by our server on our first visit. We now order it every time.)
We also enjoy the buffet at Biergarten, and your boys would probably love the Oktoberfest stage show. It was a hit with our girls when they were that age.
If you are looking for quick service at Epcot, Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavilion has many interesting choices. We also frequent Tangierine in Morocco and Katsura Grill in Japan.
At Magic Kingdom, try the new Be Our Guest, which is quick service at lunch and features sandwiches and salads. I especially like the cupcakes for dessert. The interior is stunning and feels as if you stepped right into the Beast's castle.
Your boys would probably enjoy T Rex at Downtown Disney. My children are older and we've passed the point where we need to eat with animated characters around us, but I think the food at T Rex is a cut above many similar themed restaurants.
I strongly suggest making an
advanced dining reservation for any table service restaurant you don't want to miss. You certainly don't want to have a long wait with young children or to miss out on something you crave.
I hope that helps. Enjoy all the food and your time with your family!
