Only have 42 days to vacations, we have dining plan and having trouble getting reservations. Help?

Hi Elaine, Unfortunately, this is one of the biggest problems when you don't get your reservations right at the 180 day mark. Some guests book their vacations at the last minute and the further you get away from the 180 days for booking reservations and the closer you get to your arrival date, the less your chances are of securing all of the popular dining experiences you wish to have. The only advice I can give you is to keep trying every single day from now until your vacation nears, there are spots that do open up from cancellations or space being released closer to your dates and although your chances are slim, there are still possibilities you will at least get some of your favorites if you work at it a bit. I would also pick some second and third choices now that you can book as back-up reservations in a worst case scenario, these can always be cancelled as you secure the restaurants you really want and it is nice to know you are guaranteed dining at some dining locations during your trip. You could also try walking up on the actual day to the restaurant of your choice (chances for great dining experiences this way are very slim, but I must say it has worked for me a few times and I would have missed out if I hadn't tried). Hope this helps and good luck! Best wishes, Brigitta
