With just 11 days until our visit, I am wondering if meeting Ariel at the Grotto is worth a Fast Pass? Ariel is my 5 y/o favorite and we have the FP set for after BBBoutique. Is it a waste of a FP? How long does it usually take?

    Hi Robin,

This is a tough call. If Ariel is your daughters favorite princess, then it might be worth it to use a FastPass to see her. Lines for characters are unpredictable. At times they can be quite long (45 - 60 minute + wait) and other times it's much shorter. On two separate trips, each of my youngest girls willingly waited over an hour to see Merida and Rapunzel which were their favorites at the time. The great news is that you are visiting during what is historically a "slow time" at Walt Disney World. The crowd levels should be very manageable and I do not think that you will have excessive wait times. Your daughter will have just rested in her pampering chair at Bibbibi Bobbidi Boutique during her make-over and if you build up the excitement about meeting Ariel, she might be perfectly fine to wait. I suggest checking the Times Guide when you first arrive at the Magic Kingdom so that you know Ariel's Meet and Greet times. If she looks really busy when you first stop by and your daughter is antsy, you'll know if you have time come by later. Just around the corner from Ariel's Grotto is Big Top Souvenirs. They have a lot of yummy snacks. You could always stop by there first and pick up some popcorn, chocolate covered fruit kabobs or something else to munch on while waiting in line to see Ariel. It will help the time pass by quicker. This way you can save your FastPasses for an attraction instead.

I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation. Please let me know if I can assist you further,
