We are going in 42 days! My two boys (5 and 7) are huge Star Wars fans. Can you please tell me more about the Jedi Training Academy and how do I register my kids for it. Can I register them prior to going on the trip? Thank you. This panel is great!

    Hi Lisa!

I, too, have young Padawans who enjoy Star Wars Weekends! It's one of the most popular entertainment venues at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Jedi Training Academy is not to be missed.

There are usually 15 shows daily, but because it is only available to a small number of guests at each showing, you'll want to arrive early. Pre-registration before your vacation is not available. Some will suggest 30-45 minutes, but I like to arrive 1 hour prior to the turnstyles opening in the morning. Early bird gets the worm, or in this case, the force! With your children in tow, head directly to the ABC Sound Studio for sign-ups. There is a brief questionnaire for the kids to answer and you'll then need to arrive 30 minutes prior to their assigned show.

Picking up a times guide will also provide you the exact showing times throughout the day.

My young Padawan was proud to learn new light saber skills and don his Jedi Knight certificate after battling Darth Vader. I'm certain your two boys will, too!

One last tip, if possible, have one adult head to the viewing area to reserve seats while the other adult waits with your children at check-in. The seats fill up quickly and you'll want to be sure you have a great view of an epic battle memory!

May the force be with you, Lisa, and enjoy Star Wars Weekends!
