So I feel this question deep in my soul because as many times as I've been to the
Walt Disney World Resort and ordered
MagicBands through
My Disney Experience, not too long ago, I completely failed when it came to ordering them for an upcoming trip. And that's
not going to happen to you. Basically, my husband didn't want a MagicBand, so I happily chose mine, personalized it, clicked complete, and thought all was good with the world. But alas, I missed a crucial step and my MagicBands didn't come. Let's make sure
your order is successful.
You can order a MagicBand through My Disney Experience once a qualifying vacation package has been booked. This process must be completed 11 or more days ahead of your arrival date for them to be mailed to you or between 6-10 days before arrival for them to be sent to the
Front Desk of your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. After that, you will have to purchase them at a
merchandise location at the resort and your purchase will not be eligible for the pre-arrival discount. To complete the checkout process, you must select a MagicBand for everyone on your room reservation and/or decline a MagicBand for anyone who doesn't want one. Once this is complete, you will be able to check out and order your band(s). Let's walk you through it!
1.) Log into your
MyDisney Account and select "
My MagicBands and Cards" under the My Disney Experience drop-down menu.
2.) Click the blue "Get Started" button and then click the blue "Select" button underneath the first Guest for whom you'd like to order a MagicBand.
3.) Go through the available options, click one you'd like, personalize it, and then press the blue "Complete" button. This is where I believe you are in the process, but your instincts are right...you are not yet done!
4.) Repeat this process for all Guests. If there is a Guest for whom you'd like to decline a MagicBand, once you click the blue "Select" button under their name, you'll want to click the blue link that says "Decline a MagicBand." You will then select "Decline Pre-Arrival Offer" on the next screen.
5.) Once this process has been completed for all Guests on the reservation, you'll see a blue "Proceed to Checkout" button. Click on it and follow the prompts to check out and complete your order.
Just note that selections are final once you've made your purchase and that if someone declines a band, they cannot change their mind. Of course, they will likely still have the option to purchase a band when they arrive at the resort, but they will not be eligible for a discount.
