Hi, Tammy! How are you containing your excitement? Only 17 days to go - YIPEE!!!
I believe what you are referring to is Disney Memory Maker. Memory Maker is used alongside Disney PhotoPass Service. Memory Maker allows you to download each and every Disney PhotoPass picture, ride photo, and ride video taken of your family for one flat cost paid in advance. Disney PhotoPass Service is a complimentary service which allows you to have all your pictures taken by PhotoPass photographers, as well as ride photos. Your items are easily accessed online by visiting the Disney PhotoPass website. You are able to view your photos within 48 hours after they are taken, though I have seen them available within just a few hours at times. I can access them on my smartphone, however I have noticed some photos I am unable to see until I log on from my laptop. Without Memory Maker you are still able to purchase your Disney PhotoPass by paying for each picture you download.
If you are purchasing Memory Maker, do so at least three days in advance of your arrival so you are able to take advantage of the advance purchase discount. The Memory Maker savings quickly adds up when you see how many photos Disney PhotoPass photographers take. I am always surprised how many there are! Our last visit was seven days long, and I downloaded over 170 photos. With Memory Maker, each and every photo and video is yours to download and have forever without having to make decisions on which memories are going to fit within a budget.
Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Tammy!
