Hello!!! Only 12 more days till the magic begins. We have a ADR for Chef Mickey's at 4:10pm on Dec 20th. Will we have time to watch the 3:30 parade before and then get back to MK for the light of the castle? Where is the best place for us to view?

    Hi Danielle!

Wow, you must be so excited that your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up so soon!  You should have enough time to watch the 3:30 pm parade in the Magic Kingdom and get to your Advanced Dining Reservation at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort as long as you watch the parade at the beginning of Main Street USA by the Walt Disney Railroad Station.  After the afternoon parade passes you by, you can take the Resort Monorail to the Contemporary Resort or even walk to the Contemporary Resort (a 5 to 10 minute walk).  You may not be able to finish your dinner at Chef Mickey's and get back to the Magic Kingdom for the Castle Lighting Ceremony because this event typically occurs at dusk which can be around 5:00 to 5:30 pm at the time of year that you are going to Walt Disney World.  You can check the Times Guide for the time of the Castle Lighting Ceremony when you enter the Magic Kingdom on that particular day.  You may be able to get back to see it if it is later on in the evening like 6:00 pm.  My favorite place to watch the Castle Lighting Ceremony is right in front of the Plaza Restaurant or right in front of Cinderella Castle by the Castle Stage.

I hope that your next Walt DIsney World vacation is truly magical!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
