17 days till Disney! We were just informed that we will be a test family for the new Magic Bands. How well do they stay on? We are hoping to visit Blizzard Beach while there and I am afraid they will fall off my sons wrist (8 and 9). Thank you!

    Hi Anne!

Your trip is super close and I bet you're too excited to sleep already!!! How incredibly cool that you will be able to test one of the new MagicBands!

The design team at Disney has put the MagicBands through an extensive amount of testing and they stay on pretty well. I recently saw an interview with Tom Staggs, Chairman of Walt  Disney Parks and Resorts, showing off the new MagicBands.  They are designed so that will fit adults or can be made smaller for younger guests' wrists.  During the design phase, they kept in mind that guests would be visiting water parks as well as the theme parks and tested the MagicBands at both.

I think you'll be fine and will love the new MagicBands. If for some reason you lose one, stop by Guest Relations to let them know.  They can assist you with deactivating the lost band and getting you set up for the rest of your trip.

Please feel free to visit again with any other questions. We'll be hEAR for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
