Hi Moms, 7 days till our awesome Disney vacation. Hope to arrive around noon and check into the Yacht Club. Then off to DTD for shopping and 4:30 rese at TREX. Would like to go to Chip/Dale sing along that night. Doable? Should we drive or take bus?

    Hi Scott,

Parking has been a bit of a challenge at Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs) this year. Work is almost complete on a new parking structure which should help. The parking garage is scheduled to open on the day you arrive. With more than one destination on your evening's agenda, I would typically encourage you to drive if that was an option. I am concerned that the traffic might still be bad as everyone adjusts to the new parking! I would check with the Yacht Club when you arrive to see if they have any information about the traffic situation at Downtown Disney.

If you do take the bus to Downtown Disney, after your dinner you could take a bus to Fort Wilderness for Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long. After enjoying the festivities, you could take a bus or a boat to the Magic Kingdom and switch to a bus back to Disney's Yacht Club Resort.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H
