hi 45 days till we arrive, please could you tell me can i link cash and my card to the magic key? Can i use the cash on it first not sure how it works ive got my card as its held against character reservations so need it to pay for meals thanks

    Hi Sandra!

How exciting, your First Walt Disney World vacation is right around the corner!

Good news, you may put cash onto your Disney resort hotel reservation upon check-in.  You can also add your credit card to your room at check-in or you may do this online prior to arriving.  Your Magic Band will then be linked to your credit card.

If you elect to use the "tap to pay" feature of the Magic Band by putting your credit card on the account, then there is no need to carry your credit card with you to your dining reservations. It will be already linked onto the band.

I called Guest Services an they explained that your cash credits will be used first before the credit card is charged.  I recommend  to stop by the resort hotel front desk after you have paid for a few items with your Magic Band and verify your account details.  You can verify that your account is being processed the way you intended it and add more cash if you need.

I hope this information helps with your vacation planning.  Please visit us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any further vacation planning questions. We love to help!

    Blessings,
