14 days till we arrive. Curious about the weather. What's it like now, temp wise? Is it warm enough to swim at the resorts? Have two boys, 3 and one turning 6 the day we arrive, that love to swim. Also, need to know how to pack or dress during the day.

    Hi, Felicia!

How exciting! You'll be in Walt Disney World in just two weeks! Woo hoo!

Now, regarding the weather, friends of mine just arrived in WDW yesterday, and were very surprised to find the temperature to be a chilly 54 degrees. Not a day for Blizzard Beach, as planned. Just bear in mind the average highs and lows, but keep an eye on the forecast, too, for more accurate packing. Typical mid-November highs are about 78 degrees, with the average low at 56-58 degrees.

To be well prepared, we do the following:  pack layers of clothing for chilly mornings and cool evenings. Light jackets / sweatshirts for those hours, and remember to bring them with you to the park, too, if you'll be staying after sunset. For the daytime hours, you'll want T-shirts and shorts, as it can get really warm this time of year, too. We'll even wear sandals all day, but switch to sneakers for the evening, to keep those toes warm. :-)

Definitely pack some bathing suits and cover-ups for swimming, as the resort pools are heated. Your boys will have a spectacular time swimming and splashing; just be sure to bring a cozy layer to bundle them up if you are swimming on a cooler night.

Now, for the birthday boy...be sure to get him a complimentary Birthday Celebration Button, so that Cast Members and Guests alike can wish him a happy birthday all day long! This will be one birthday he'll never forget!

Send more questions as you think of them, Felicia; I'd love to help!
