How many days of a tickets do you have to purchase before price goes down? Visiting Orlando and considering 2 Days Disney Park and one day non Disney Park vs 3 days Disney Park. Any savings? Is it best to purchase tickets before we go? Thank you

Hi, Robert! In the past, Walt Disney World ticket prices were based on seasons (not as in winter or summer, but more like Value, Regular, and Peak). Last fall, however, Disney changed over to date-based tickets and pricing in order to better distribute attendance throughout the year.

When you go to the Walt Disney World website to purchase your Theme Parks ticket under the new system, you will select a start date on an interactive online calendar. It will show the prices based on the dates you are planning on visiting. If your travel dates are flexible, you can select the dates with the lowest prices to fit your budget. Next, you’ll choose the number of days you want to enter the parks. You'll notice that the more days you visit, the lower the price per day. For example, currently, the price for a one day ticket (ages 10+ without tax) on March 3 is $122. A 2-Day ticket, on the other hand, would cost $217, while a 3-Day is $311 (prices are subject to change, so you'll want to check the website to verify these prices).  Tickets do not have to be used on consecutive dates (so if you go with the 2-Day ticket, you can use it any two days within four days beginning on the start date). Tickets can be purchased at the parks by visiting any Guest Relations window at Walt Disney World Resort, but I'd recommend buying them in advance online or by calling (407) 939-5277 so you can take advantage of FastPass+. If needed, you can modify your tickets on your My Disney Experience account up until the ticket start date (if you need to change to a higher priced day, you'll just have to pay the difference).

Hopefully, this answers your questions, but please feel free to ask if I can be of any more help!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
