Hello! How many days do you suggest staying at disney with a 6 and 9 year old? The last time we went we had a blast but felt rushed and exhauated from staying off property and only for four days with all parks. We want to take it slow and soak it in.

My family's stays have ranged between six nights and sixteen nights, Sarah.  In my opinion, the perfect amount of time to stay is ten days.  That length of a trip gives you plenty of time to visit all four of the major theme parks as well as the water parks, if you so desire.  So, too, would you have a few days to relax by the pool or visit Downtown Disney for some souvenir shopping.  The most convenient way to do it would be with a park hopper so that you could pop in and out of the parks at will, but adding that option wouldn't be necessary to have an absolutely magical vacation.  I hope that helps in planning your next trip!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
