Hiya, George!
Welcome to planDisney, friend! I am so delighted that you stopped by with your planning questions. It looks as if you are planning a trip this fall, just in time for all of the autumn festivities! The
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are two wonderful events that will be taking place during your visit. You will also find frightfully delicious treats, Mickey Pumpkins, and so much more. Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as your trip gets closer for all the latest news about fall fun during your stay. Okay, let's get into those questions so you can get back to planning the best trip ever.
Deciding on how many days to spend in each park can be a tough choice! If you are only spending four days in the park, I recommend one day for each location. If you are spending 5 days, my pick for a second-day park would be Magic Kingdom Park. But if you have a
Star Wars fan in your crew, Hollywood Studios is definitely worth a second day! If you are staying six days or longer I highly recommend using the
Park Hopper Option for your tickets. This feature is included with both the
7-Day and 14-Day Magic Ticket. This will give you a lot of flexibility on your park days. You can start the day in Animal Kingdom with a morning safari, and head to Magic Kingdom Park for evening fireworks. When using these longer ticket options, I recommend making
Park Pass Reservations for all four theme parks at least once (twice with a 14-day ticket), and then choosing the parks with your high-priority attractions for the remaining days.
Water bottles sold in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks are 20 ounces and feature both Dasani and Smartwater. You can also pick up complimentary ice water at most Quick-Service locations.
I am so excited that
traditional Character Greetings have returned to Walt Disney World Resort! Hugging Olaf on my most recent visit was absolutely amazing. And while our beloved pals are happy to accept hugs, hi-fives, and sign their unique autographs, no charges or tips are necessary! The only cost for character interactions would be if you booked a Character Dining reservation, and the charge would be for the meal, not visits from your favorite friends.
The
cost for Disney Minnie Van will vary depending on where you are headed, just like a traditional ride service. Minnie Vans are reserved through the Lyft app, but you will find they have a higher price point than a standard ride share. The Lyft app will show you the price before you confirm your pickup, and you will be able to compare it to other transportation options available in the app. Though the cost per ride may be slightly higher, there are some added benefits, and it's not just the adorable theming. Minnie Vans are driven by Cast Members, who tend to share tons of fun facts and tips along the way, complimentary car seats, and drop-off/pick-up spots closer to the park entrances than standard ride shares.
I hope that these tips help you continue to plan your magical adventure!
We'll see ya real soon!
