Hi! On the days of Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween do my friend and I need to purchase separate event tickets, or can we attend the event with our reserved park passes? Will we need to leave the park early if we do not have the special tickets?

    Hi Netassia!

Welcome to planDisney! You will have so much fun exploring Walt Disney World Resort with your friend on your upcoming trip. There are so many new and returning experiences headed to the "Most Magical Place on Earth" in time for your visit that you don't want to miss. I hope you're planning a visit to EPCOT to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, that opens in just a few weeks!

We just heard a few weeks ago that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning to Magic Kingdom this fall! This special event transforms the theme park with exclusive Halloween magic for Guests to enjoy. Since this is a specially ticketed event, only Guests who have tickets to that evening's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be able to enjoy the tricks and treats of the party.

While Park Hours haven't been released yet for August, in past years, Magic Kingdom has closed before the start of the party for Guests without party tickets. So if you will be enjoying the theme park with standard theme park tickets and your theme park reservation, but no party ticket, unfortunately you won't be able to enjoy the party and you'll be directed towards the park exit.

If you have the Park Hopper Option added to your tickets, this would be a great time to hop to a different theme park for evening fun. Another great option for an evening where you won't be enjoying the party is to spend the night enjoying the dining and entertainment at the Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs! Feel free to come back to see us if you have additional questions. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
