Hi, we have a 2 1/2 y/o and 5 y/o. 'We only have 2 days at the Magic Kingdom. What would be rides, etc. that both would enjoy? Any must sees? Also, will the 5 y/o be able to ride some of the more exciting rides? She's over 50 pounds, and 46 inches tall.

    Hi Jhana:

I'm a parent of two boys, ages 5 and 3, and I would love to share some of my family's must-dos for our Disney World vacations. Your family may have different tastes, but hopefully these recommendations will be a good start to planning your trip.

Among many other things: at the Magic Kingdom, we always ride the Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan's Flight, Mickey's PhilharMagic, and it's a small world. If your kids are brave, they may also enjoy the spooky, but playful, Haunted Mansion. I would take a look at this Magical Beginnings map and guide that highlights various rides and attractions appealing to little ones 5 and under.

Your five-year old should be able to ride a number of rides. In general, the safety restrictions for riding attractions are based on height, not age. Click on this link for a list of height requirements for selected rides and attractions throughout Walt Disney World.

As you enter the parks, pick up a Times Guide for parades and show schedules throughout the day.

My best advice is to relax, follow your kids' pace, and enjoy.
