27 days to go!!!!! While at Disney, it's my husbands birthday and I know he'd love to do some fishing. I've heard you can do bass fishing, is this right and could you give me some more info, like do I need to book, costs etc Many thanks

Hi Caroline! We love to do the bass fishing at Walt Disney World.  You can get a guided boat either at the Yacht and Beach Club resort marina or from one of the resorts on the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. I suggest the second location as it gives you a much more varied fishing area to try your luck.

We have found the early morning spots to be the best.  They will provide drinks and coffee and even if you aren't fishing you might enjoy the ride. It is strictly a catch and release program and they will provide all the equipment and bait.  You do not need a Florida fishing license.

We have had some great fishing trips when we caught with every throw and then some that were not quite as successful but during each one we had fun and enjoyed this nice diversion from the parks.  You can make reservations by calling Disney recreation. Good luck and hope the fish are biting when you head down there!
