11 days to go!! :-) Will x-ray machines at airport harm Magic Bands? I know we should pack them in our carry-ons but I know some things cannot go through those machines--just wondering about Magic Bands-with that technology inside them...Thanks! Can't wait

    Hi Kelly,

MagicBands are absolutely fine to go through the screening at your airport. I've done this myself several times with no problem at all. If for some reason you did encounter an issue (which you won't), your MagicBands could easily be replaced at Walt Disney World.

The main reasons you'll want to keep your MagicBands with you on your flight are:

    - You'll still have them if your luggage gets lost.
    - You can use them to check in for the Magical Express bus service.
    - You can check in a minute or two faster.

The second two things can be easily accomplished even if you don't have MagicBands. it just might take a minute longer. And again, people do sometimes lose Bands, but they can be replaced at WDW if needed.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
