39 days to go! This is our 3rd trip but the 1st with a DD plan. What is the best way to find approved snacks besides the snack carts in the Parks? Also on the Breakfast Buses, do those run automatically or do you have to let your resort concierge know ahea

    Hi there Cindy!

Thank you so much for your question.  Finding mail in my personal Moms Panel mailbox always puts a smile on my face.

I'm so pleased to hear that you will be including the Disney Dining Plan in your vacation plans next month.  My family loves to use the Disney Dining Plan on our vacations.  It saves us so much money on our food budget.  There are countless treats throughout Walt Disney World for which you may redeem your Disney Dining Plan snack credits.  In addition to the carts in the theme parks, there are counter service restaurants everywhere with tasty options.  For instance, you could get a dole whip at Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom or a kaki gori shaved ice at the Japan Pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase.  If you get to Epcot before the International Food & Wine Festival ends, there are tapas-sized treats that may also be purchased with snack credits.

How do you know which items can be purchased with a snack credit?  On the menus you will see a pink square with the Disney Dining Plan logo.  That indicates an eligible item.  Of course, you may always ask the Cast Members working at any given dining establishment if an item is eligible, too.  Typically, most items under $4 will be covered but it never hurts to ask.

As for the breakfast buses, I heartily encourage you to visit the Guest Services desk at your home resort the day before your early morning dining reservation.  While the buses do run early most mornings, it is best to find out the resort's transportation plans directly from Guest Services.

Sending you pixie dust for a truly magical vacation next month!
