39 days to go!! Quick ?....We have ADR at Akershus for the princess beakfast on 9/26. We had planned on spending that day in EPCOT, but I just noticed that is the first day of the Food and Wine Festival. Is EPCOT going to be VERY crowded that day

Based on my experience at Epcot last year, on the second day of the Food and Wine Festival, I'd have to say that yes, you should expect it to be extremely crowded that day.

My family almost always travels to Walt Disney World in September, but last year was the first chance I've ever had to visit the event.  My impression of crowd levels may be skewed because typically crowd levels in September are very manageable.  That said, I, personally, would not make the mistake of visiting Epcot during the first weekend of the festival again, if I could avoid it.

I know that reservations to dine with the princesses are hard to come by and I'd hate to see you lose the opportunity.  Do you have park hopping privileges with the tickets you purchased, or plan to purchase?  If so, you might consider going to Epcot for breakfast and then switching to a different park for the remainder of your day.

I don't want to dissuade you from visiting the Food and Wine Festival because it is a fun opportunity.  However, it is far less an enjoyable event when crowds are thick and lines are long.  I would advise that you avoid Epcot that day if you can.
