Hi! 7 days to go.....very excited!! Just wondering if we're given "leis" at the Spirit of Aloha show. If not, I want to bring some for a little extra magic. We're staying at Contemporary - how long will it take to get to Poly? Take boat? Show is

    Hi Kelli,

Only 7 days until your Walt Disney World vacation?  I'd be excited too!

I'm so glad you have decided to include the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show in your vacation plans.  That's one of my favorite memories from my first trip to Walt Disney World many years ago.  I called the fine folks at Disney's Polynesian Resort and the Disney dining reservation line this morning to confirm that, yes, they do still greet guests at the beginning of this dining experience by presenting them each with a lei.  Therefore you will not need to bring your own.

Getting to Disney's Polynesian Resort from Disney's Contemporary Resort is a snap!  Just hop on the monorail on the fourth floor of your home resort and you will disembark at the second stop, Disney's Polynesian Resort.  This trip will not take long but I recommend that you give yourself no less than 30-45 minutes to make this trip because you'll have to walk to the open-air dining theater along Seven Seas Lagoon once you arrive at the Polynesian.  Plus, you'll want some time to explore this stunning resort before or after the dinner show.  Maybe you can even catch the Electrical Water Pageant at 9 pm after the show.

Wishing you and your family a vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
