We are 78 days from our FIRST trip!! Excited! We are doing MVMCP. Any advice? Any tips for a first trip? How much extra cash to being? We are on the DDP

Hello Cody! Aren't you so excited? Your trip is just around the river bend! And it's a first trip! Those are always sprinkled with extra pixie dust. We must be going around the same time, because I also have a trip coming up in December, and we are also attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It is my absolute favorite thing to do during the holiday season. You just can't beat walking down Main Street U.S.A with falling snow and looking up at the twinkling Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle. On the Christmas party day you can actually enter the park as early as 4 p.m. One of my tips is to get to the Magic Kingdom early and eat dinner before the event starts so that you can focus your energy on all of the really cool things that go on during the party. Here are a few more tips:

*Dress in layers- In the winter months it can get chilly especially in the evenings. Carry a sweater in your bag or dress in layers to keep warm.

*Ponchos- Even though the chance of rain is small in the winter months, the water attractions will still be running. I love Splash Mountain too much for cold temperatures to stop me from riding, so I will bring a poncho so that I'm not soaking wet and cold.

*Portable phone charger- I always have a portable phone charger handy because I'm constantly taking photos while I'm in the parks and checking the My Disney Experience App to look at attraction wait times and FastPass+ selection times.

*Water container- I save so much money by bringing a water bottle container and asking for ice water at Quick Service locations. They will give you a complimentary cup of ice water if you ask.

As for how much spending money to bring, it really just depends on personal spending habits. When I go to the parks by myself I don't bring as much spending money, but when I bring my son I know he will want a souvenir so I budget for that. I hope this helps, and if you need anything else please let us know. Have a magical holiday vacation!
