Hi Marcus,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! Your vacation is in just a few days, has the countdown started yet?
In my experience with
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, the gates do remain open after the Theme Parks close to non-resort guests. You should be okay to enter either
Magic Kingdom Park or
EPCOT after the official close (depending on the
schedule). Normally they have a few of the Mickey turnstiles open on the opposite side of wherever guests are flowing out.
Keep in mind that sometimes when Extended Evening Hours are beginning, guests will be leaving from the fireworks, so it may be crowded. Make sure your party is together so no one gets lost in the crowd! Once you get deeper into the Theme Park, the crowd should disperse. Typically, you’ll need to scan either your
MagicBand or ticket when entering a new area of the Theme Park or getting on an attraction to ensure you’re a guest of one of the hotels that offer this service. So if your party splits up, make sure they have their admission with them.
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you make the final plans for your upcoming trip. If you have any last minute planning or vacation questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
