Hi Kristen,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am always delighted to greet a fellow North Carolinian!
Take a few minutes to review the
Planning for Preschool Kids and Little Ones Guide. With toddlers, I always suggest starting at Magic Kingdom. There is nothing quite like walking through the park and seeing Cinderella Castle. Plus, there are so many attractions for little ones at Magic Kingdom. Check the
Magic Kingdom Attractions List to see the height requirements and to see which rides your toddler might enjoy. When our girls were younger, they adored Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Mad Tea Party.
If you would like to experience other parks, I recommend Disney's Animal Kingdom - the animals are spectacular. Kilimanjaro Safaris and The Festival of the Lion King show are amazing. Also, check out the
Characters and Entertainment schedule. I will never forget the look on our girls' faces when they met Mickey Mouse for the first time at Disney's Animal Kingdom. They were stunned. We had to remind them to give Mickey Mouse their autograph books to sign!
Kristen, our girls also love Epcot. There are several attractions there that are suitable for little ones - Frozen Ever After, Journey into Imagination with Figment, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. And, at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Toy Story Land has recently opened. Playing in Andy's backyard might be just perfect!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
