70 days and excitingly counting. AKL 9/26-10/3 DW, DS(3),DD(1). With your help, have full week planned. DW and I would love to take a couple hrs to ourselves. Going back and forth on this. Heard great things Kid Night Out service. Any words of wisdom?

Hi Brian!  I have used Kids Night Out service numerous times over the years and have had only wonderful experiences with each sitter that was provided. We have used them from infants to 12 year olds.

When you call explain the age of the children and if there are any special needs or requests for a type of sitter (age of person for example).  They will try to meet your needs and alerts them as to what would be the best fit for both parties.

There is a four hour minimum but that gives you time to enjoy a fine dinner somewhere and maybe a movie or a showing of Cirque Du Soleil or just park wandering!

We have allowed our sitters to stroll the kids around the resort and provide them with a dummy key to the room...one that would not allow any purchases on it. This can be obtained at the front desk.  With you staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge this would be a wonderful opportunity for the kids to observe the animals and some of the great story telling that takes place outside.  When it comes to meals we ask the sitters to call for room service as that works best and we are not dealing with leaving money.  The sitters will are not allowed to give the kids a bath or take them swimming.

Hope this helps...take a cell phone with you so it is easy to be in contact if needed.
