We only have 2 days at Disney w/ 5yr old (loves princesses) and 8yr old girl. The only princess dining I could get was in Epcot. Is it worth the experience and the day at Epcot or for their ages MK is a better choice?

Hi Rosemarie!  My young grandson loves EPCOT and it certainly is a park where the younger set can enjoy the attractions and activities.  Some of the information might be too advanced but you allow them to enjoy what they can from each ride.  It is good to check on height restrictions before you go  and you can do that by clicking HERE.  On the left side of the page you will see a category HEIGHT and click there.

The princess experience at Akershus in Norway is considered by many to be the best on property. If it is a very important experience for the girls to meet princesses then a day at EPCOT can be very worthwhile and fun! The children can meet far more characters here then anywhere else.  You can also meet and greet the famous Disney faces such as Mickey, MInnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Chip and Dale at the large meet and greet station to the right of the big fountain in Future World. Get there early as the line can grow quite long.

Some of my grandson's favorite attractions include Imagination, The Land boat ride, Turtle Talk with Crush, Finding Nemo, Spaceship Earth, Energy, and the boat ride in the Mexico pavilion.  Throughout the World Showcase you will find Kidcot stations in each country where a cast member will help the kids make special craft type projects relating to that country.

There are many great dining opportunities in EPCOT and one of our favorites is Teppan Edo in Japan where they cook the food in front of you. the kids always are entertained by the antics of the Japanese chefs!

End your evening with a viewing of Illuminations which is my all time Disney favorite fireworks and laser show.
