In 6 days, how much of Disney World can be covered with a 6 and 8 year old in tow? Recommended number of parks? Which parks!?

    Hi Phaidra!

With 6 days, I think you can see a lot of Walt Disney World.  I've taken my children, ages 5 and 10, once or twice a year since they were babies.

With 6 days, I recommend spending one day each in the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.  You will also have a day that you can spend at a water park or just relaxing are your resort hotel.  If you decide to visit a water park, I recommend Typhoon Lagoon as I think that is more fun for young guests; however, other panelists might suggest Blizzard Beach instead.  To be honest, you can't go wrong with either.  On your last day, you can re-visit your favorite theme park; with young guests, I am going to guess that will mean the Magic Kingdom for you.

By the way, if your children have never been to any of the parks in Walt Disney World before, then I suggest taking them to Epcot first.  That's probably controversial, but I think that's the least appealing park to young guests.  However, since that will be the first park they visit, they won't know that and I think they'll have a great time that way.  My 5 year old loves the Seas with Nemo and Friends, Soarin', Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Maelstrom, Gran Fiesta Tour, and Journey into Imagination.  Both of my children love eating lunch in San Angel Inn in the Mexican Pavilion and dinner at the Garden Grill restaurant in the Land Pavilion.  Be careful about the "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" 3-D movie; my 5 year old is terrified during it, though I've seen other young guests enjoy it.

    Have a magical vacation!
