10 days to Disney!! Where are the good viewing spots for parade & fireworks at MNSSHP? Any other tips for photo ops, characters, etc. Thanks for all you help!!

    Hi Deanna,

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is one of my all time favorite events. Click here for a schedule of the 2011 events. Super exciting!!

Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade takes place at 8:15 p.m. & 10:30 p.m. The 2nd parade is usually less crowded. The parade route begins in Frontierland & ends near the Harmony Barbershop. The route will be marked on your MNSSHP Guide Map. Be sure to get a spot early so you can see the Headless Horseman ride through before the parade begins.

Happy HalloWishes Fireworks takes place at 9:30 p.m. I like to stake out a spot that offers a great viewing location for both. My favorite spot is near the end of Main Street USA (either side) just as it turns at the hub in front of Cinderella Castle.

Be sure to visit Br'er Rabbit's Laughin' Place Candy Patch in Frontierland. You'll also find all 7 dwarfs together posing for pictures in Frontierland. The princesses often have their princes with them & there is a great photo op at the Haunted Mansion. Character meet & greet locations will be indicated on your MNSSHP Guide Map by a white Mickey glove.

When selecting a costume, keep in mind that you'll be boarding attractions so you won't want to dress in anything too bulky or cumbersome. You'll be doing a lot of walking so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Trick-or-treat bags are provided but you are welcome to bring your own. Be sure you bring your camera for this event but make sure you take advantage of PhotoPass.

We try to concentrate on the special events for MNSSHP & save doing the attractions at the Magic Kingdom for a different day.

Wishing you minnie spooktacular memories :-) Allison
