Hi there! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney.
Jaci, let me tell you a story. This is a story about a man named Matt N. from NJ who used to go to the Walt Disney World Resort for short periods of time, always visited the park on consecutive days, and got to the parks when they opened and stayed until they closed. Every vacation was exhilarating, smile-inducing, and indeed magical. However, Matt went home tired. Missing the parks, but tired. Until one day, he scheduled a break day in the middle of the vacation and now he will never go back to his old ways.
I'm sure you could have figured out that this Matt N. from NJ is me. The moral of the story: don't be like old Matt. Be like the new and improved Matt. Schedule that break day. The best part? It doesn't take that much planning to do so!
Multi-day
Theme Park Tickets do not have to be used on consecutive days. There is a window for which you can use them. When you go to buy your tickets, you will be asked to select your start date on the calendar. This will show you when the tickets will expire. For example, an 8-day ticket expires 12 days after the selected start date. This means you can use that 8-day ticket at any time within that 12-day window. Refer to the
Frequently Asked Questions about theme park ticket usage for specifics on each ticket type.
If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can enjoy all of the wonderful
amenities your resort has to offer on your rest day. Make an
advanced dining reservation at your hotel. Hop on a bus to
Disney Springs to enjoy some shopping and out-of-this-world dining options. Make a dining reservation at a nearby Disney hotel and arrive a little earlier to explore that resort a bit. Or, do as I do, and just relax by the pool. You'll wake up the next morning rested and recharged to take on all of Walt Disney World.
I hope you have a wonderful vacation.
