42 days and counting! I was wondering if walkie talkies are a good idea for communication in the theme parks or is there too much confusion from so many people using them?

We've travelled many times with walkie talkies and have noticed many other families with them as well.  They are helpful in more "instant" communication, but they can be difficult to hear one another when in a crowded area.

However, I've observed fewer walkie talkies and more cell phones the past few years.  We like that cell phones have voice mail in case we miss a call, and they've also come in handy while waiting in line.  My sons like to take silly pictures/movies of each other.  And of course, they've been a life saver when I have a chance to take an unexpected magical  picture, and my husband is somewhere else with the camera!  My younger sons have also memorized our cell phone numbers in case they get separated from us; I like that safety feature of a cell phone that a walkie talkie doesn't offer.
